Campaign
Midwives' Voices, Midwives' Demands.
Midwives have stood with women since time immemorial - through prenatal counselling, antenatal care, childbirth and postnatal care. They are the most important frontline health worker during the critical period of labour, delivery and post-delivery.
The What Women Want findings made one priority unmistakable: more, competent and better-supported midwives. For Kenyan women and girls, this priority is intimately connected to others they named - respectful and dignified care, and timely, attentive care.
Launched
Late 2021
We launched Midwives' Voices, Midwives' Demands - a listening exercise to hear directly from midwives about what matters most to them, and to bring that knowledge and pressure to bear on policymakers considering midwifery investments.
